I think the son is a psycho and he is making all this story to hide his crime. Shooting, stabbing, dismembering the body and then feeding to coyotes- all this shows that the son enjoyed what he did. He even remembered the exact no of times he stabbed his father - 199 times!

This is just beyond rationale to think that the son could have got into such inhuman act. And like Aneez, rightly pointed out, to me too he appears to be a psycho ! Its better we dont ever read this kind of stories!
