I really hope that the officers succeed in curbing this menace to the society. But the war can't be won until the locals can be provided with some other source of livelihood or incentive to stay away from cultivating it again. I hate to say it but the Taliban regime managed in curbing the production to lot of extent, maybe by selling the fear of God. I don’t want Taliban to be there for this reason but I do really wish that locals do stop growing this poison.
